How to Sell an eBook on Gumroad
Online business is booming and it is considered the next gold mine for the next decade.
Whether you want to start an online business to share knowledge or to make it as the next Steve Jobs of online business, Gumroad allows you to do just that.
You can sell your knowledge inform of an eBook in a matter of minutes and start receiving money.
There are other ways that Gumroad allows you to sell your products like courses, memberships, physical goods(yes, physical goods), bundles and even your services, but today, our focus is on eBooks.
How to sell an eBook
Head over to www.gumroad.com
Click on Start Selling button on the top right to create a free account.
There are various options that you can use to authenticate including Facebook, Google and X. You can pick your preferred method. I prefer Google.
Once you log in, go to the products section.
Give your eBook a name. I’ll name mine how to make chapatis. It’s an African delicacy.
Select the eBook option to upload your eBook.
Scroll to the bottom and give it a price of your desire. If you are new to selling online, I would recommend $25-$50. You can change the price to anything you want once you scale.
Click on the next button on the top right corner.
Here, you can describe what your product is all about.
In my case, it is a recipe for making African chapatis.
When you scroll down, you can add your cover and the thumbnail.
All these you can create on Canva or your favourite design software. It gives you the specifications which makes it easy to create in Canva.
Upload it then save and continue.
Upload your eBook on Gumroad.
Click publish and continue.
Our product is now uploaded and ready to sell.
To get the link to the eBook to share with your friends and family, click this button.
Here is our final eBook uploaded on Gumroad ready to sell.
